The Festival of the Bonfire 2022 Guide (The Sunset Valley)

This section of the guide will primarily focus on The Sunset Valley as well as the new minigame "Battle for the Bonfire".

[1/9] Bonfire Keeper: Welcome to the Sunset Valley, traveler. Do you feel the summer winds flowing past?
[2/9] Bonfire Keeper: Ah, but you're here for the Battle for the Bonfire, are you not? Then let me explain. In this game, two teams will compete for victory. It consists of two phases- The Wood Phase, and the Fire Phase.
[3/9] Bonfire Keeper: During the Wood Phase, you will have to cross the arena into enemy territory, past their bonfire, into their woods. Collect the enemy's logs, and return them to your bonfire without dying to score for your team.
[4/9] Bonfire Keeper: The team which wins the Wood Phase will be granted a random Boon to assist in the second phase- the Fire Phase.
[5/9] Bonfire Keeper: During the Fire Phase, you must ascend to the center of the arena, and claim the Bonfire Flame for yourself. Only one flame will remain in play at a time.
[6/9] Bonfire Keeper: You must use the Bonfire Flame to burn the enemy team's flag to the ground- only then can you claim victory.
[7/9] Bonfire Keeper: Stronger weapons and Runes can be found scattered around the arena. They are powerful, but have limited use. Make them count!
[8/9] Bonfire Keeper: There is, of course, a wildcard in play- the Bonus Objective Altar. At the start of the game, a random objective will be selected, and both teams will compete to complete it for the reward of another Boon.
[9/9] Bonfire Keeper: I would encourage you to give it a go! Tell me once you've done so, and I can offer you a gift. Otherwise, if you have any questions, ask away!

Spoiler: [2] What are Boons and Runes?

[1/3] Bonfire Keeper: I suppose I should explain that, yes. Runes are powerful items which will appear around the arena, and have very limited uses.
[2/3] Bonfire Keeper: Boons, on the other hand, are moreso... gifts from the Valley. They give a boost to an entire team, and can be earned through the Wood Phase or the Bonus Objective.
[3/3] Bonfire Keeper: There are several different types of both of these available. I'll tell you about them now.

A GUI of a single chest will appear after this dialogue. Here, you will be able to see the five Boons as well as the six Runes available in the minigame. More details on that will be in the minigame section in this thread.

[1/5] Bonfire Keeper: This is the Sunset Valley, traveler. A Place spoken of only in stories and legends.
[2/5] Bonfire Keeper: The land itself seems nearly living. If you listen closely, you can hear the whispers on the wind, or the grumbling deep beneath the mountains.
[3/5] Bonfire Keeper: The valley may choose to lend its power to those it sees as worthy. Long ago, the people of this land received those gifts.
[4/5] Bonfire Keeper: And now, long gone, forgotten... You may pick up where they left. Fight for the valley. Fight for your glory.
[5/5] Bonfire Keeper: Maybe, if you leave enough of an impression... The land will reveal its secrets to you.

Not at the moment. It's essentially a limited time minigame
