What are your thoughts?

Personally, I side with Matpat on this one. If the company would had shut down or went bankrupt, which sounds ridiculous, they would still have received the salaries from Youtube (which would had been earned by Youtubers in said Multi Channel Network) and should have continued to distributed their paychecks regardless. Instead, they chose to kept it, effectively stealing from their content creators no matter big or small.

The fact that they shut down without any prior warning to any of their employees is quite irresponsible; and the fact that they basically took the Content Creators' money from Youtube which would have definitely violated the agreement between the two is probably even worse. What crappy predicament this is.

 

MSNs have always been shady to me since a bunch of channels were being screwed over by Machinima way back when, sad to see similar practices are being done today.

 

Even though I dislike Matpat, I agree as well

 

I guess, they defied, Matpat's expectations of trust!

While Matpat seems to usually ignore evidence when theorizing, when being honest, Matpat can be a great person. The "Losing the battle" video and this prove just that.
Yeah, I side with matpat. Because this is extremely unethical.
Youtube needs to be fixed.
