Discussion The Aldorei Investigation Thread

I feel like we need a thread for searching Aldorei and the surrounding area. The button and sickle seem to indicate something important here, as well as it being the location of an observatory.

Things of interest:

• Crazy elf farmer and tree with button (-740, 103, -4400)
• Hay sickle, dropped by crazy farmer (item has 3 NBT tags that bug to 1 tag on logout, similar to the chip [possibly indicates that it must be used in a similar way?])
• Purple flower in a planter (-769, 103, -4412)
• Strange tower with seemingly no entrance or interior (-440, 125, -4625)

Post anything you find in the area here.

 

you could try throwing the sickle on the purple flower??? idk

 

ahh... this whole Aldorei being part of ??? doesn't make much sense.

Before you say i'm crazy let me explain...

If you think about Aldorei, it is a isolationist society. They don't want corruption in any form to affect Aldorei. So we have villager studying this powerfully magical meteor in order to gain some understanding on magic principals. They become insane due to the meteor. Why in the world would this type of society help the brothers? Does it make sense lore wise?

 

then what is the untradable hay sickle

 

an untradable item used in a future quest, an item used in a new easter egg, all these things make more sense (at least to me) than being part of ???

 

Only me and my crew thinks its used for ??? because the observatories. One in Gert, Aldorei, and TheSead. WHat are in those places u ask? 1.Red Meteor 2. Hay Sickle 3. Strange Mushroom

Well theres one suspicous item in each of these thats the thing

 

It's in a little nook at about eye level on the tree. It's placed on the top of a block.

 

Ok i have an idea in this case... So behind the observatory at the gert camp we found a part of ???, so my question is what is behind the Aldorei Observatory?

 

I climbed quite a few mountains in the area, but considering the limit is MUCH higher in aldorei it could be anywhere

 

Where is the observatory ? XD

 

Are there any caves nearby there, buttons, anything that could be a lab entrance

 

Have you tried combining the 3 and dropping them at the meteor?
