Stuck On Wynnexcavations Site A Quest

I did the entire quest up until the last point where it says "Return and talk to Excavator Vade" but he just says "What are you still doing over here? Go finish your assignment! It's written in your quest book.". I've tried going in again and doing /class.

 

do you have the yellow crystal shard (dropped from pharaoh nabak's second phase) in your inventory? if not, you have to go back through and get one, then talk to vade
