    When I entered the mansion and went down to the basement, the statue opened but I didn't realize what to do until after it had already closed again. I tried to find a way to open it again but I couldn't make it work.

    plz help :)

    Do /class and repeat the previous steps you did in the quest. If you should look it up, I would recommend the wiki
