Strange Portal

Lately on the forums I have been noticing a lot people have been searching around a mysterious ender portal located near Abandoned Mines ever since one user found some hidden dialogue with the talking mushroom. Now as far as I know, almost everything has been tried to uncover the secret, but I was wondering if anybody tried using Maro's Eye Jewel (and maybe with the talking mushroom). If not, I figured that it might be it because of 1) it's an ender eye and 2) There's only one missing from the portal. Just a thought.

 

Meh, it's a quest item, not an actual ender eye ingame, but you could always try anyway.

Yes, but that's a quest item being used in another quest. What you're talking about is using a quest item that would work in vanilla mc, if it were an actual ender eye. Which it isn't.

 

Yeah, that's what I assumed at first too, but if everything else has been tried, why not see?
