Speculation Strange Mushroom

WARNING: I've paid little attention to the ??? Hunt, so this may have been found already.

After finishing Canyon Guide (The person-fetch quest), I headed to Thesad for the first time after the update. Upon arrival, I saw signs leading to the Mayor's Office. I went in, and explored. Behind the office, I found a peaceful mob named "Strange Mushroom". I killed it, and it dropped an untradable Strange Mushroom. Thinking of what it could be, I decided to try it in Yahya's house. Alas, nothing happened, but this could mean:
a) Someone needs to activate the upstairs hopper while tossing it in
b) Multiple items are needed, like the old ???
c) A combination of the two

I did this right as I left on a 4-hour trip, so I'm on mobile and can't test these. Maybe someone else knows more or can try it?

The strange mushrooms purpose is unknown but it was there before the update.

 

I've tried the strange mushroom along with an array of items including the talking mushroom, a bowl, the altium spatium, and the black spoon... no combination worked(I only had one altium spatium though)

 

It's unlikely an item with ids is used since the Ids would vary.

 

I have paid as much attention as you, but i'm 87% sure this hasn't been found.

So therefore they mayors have more shrooms...
there could be a connection

 

The mayors of Eltom and thesead are part of a quest
