Lore/Story Story Bc Bored Again

This was created out of boredom, like all my works are. I do NOT plan on continuing this, unless I feel like it.

P.S. This isn't Light Theme friendly, I'll work on that as soon as possible.

I was awoken from my rest by the sound of someone knocking on my bedroom door. As I looked outside my window, I could see ships aligning the docks of Nemract. I pondered why there were that many boats at this time of year, but all I could think of is that door knocking. It was like an alarm clock that's been waiting for someone to keep it quiet. I got out of my bed and said...

???: The door's unlocked, why are you still knocking?

Yes, I said that with frustration. Didn't they even check if the door was locked or not? After that, the door was silent. And from the other of the wall, I heard a voice.

???: Oh. It... wasn't locked? How silly of me. You know how I always forget to check things if they're really what I think they are, Ahrson.

The door's knob turned, and it swung open. Peeking from it was my father, Reigknor. He looked awfully tired, as if he was running from something. I noticed that he was holding something in left hand. Whatever it was, it smelled nice.

Ahrson: Dad, did you continuously knock on that door, just to give me a cup of...?
Reigknor: Hm? Oh, this? This is a cup of hot cocoa. I figured I should get some from Troms, since you really wanted to try some.
Ahrson: That explains why you look so tired, huh?

He walked into the room with the cup of cocoa in-hand, and placed it on the desk beside my bed. I felt like I was in the cafe in Troms.

Ahrson: Thanks, dad.

I took a sip from the cup, and right away, I tasted pure cocoa. It was a bit bitter at first, but I'll get used to it eventually.

Reigknor: Say... Would you like to come with me to the Airship Festival at Detlas?
Ahrson: But I haven't even eaten breakfast yet.
Reigknor: Ah, you can eat your breakfast at Detlas. It'll take a while before we get there though, since we're only walking.
Ahrson: Eh, sure. I was going to resist eating for the next 15 minutes anyway.
Reigknor: Great! I also bought a coat for you. When I saw this, I immediately thought of you wearing it.

Dad took out a package from his satchel and handed it over to me. Upon first sight, I was surprised that he would go out of his way just to buy these for me. Well... That's what I expected from a single father anyway. I opened it up, and inside it was a brown coat. I took it out from it's package and gave it a glance. To me, it looked really small, and really... fuzzy. However, when I tried it on, it was bigger than I thought. The ends of the coat were already to my shoes. But it felt pillows, so I kept it on.

Dad grabbed his red scarf that he ALWAYS wears when he goes out, and wrapped it around his neck. I found that scarf on our front door one evening, and thought it looked for someone that's cool. And so, I gave it to him. He even wears it on the hottest of days, so I have no idea why he keeps wearing it.

Reigknor: All right, I'm ready to head off.
Ahrson: So as I. This coat is unbelievably long, but it feels like I'm sleeping again so it's mine forever.

He looked at me for a moment, and smiled at me before continuing down the stairs. I followed shortly behind, and held his hand. Together we walked out of our house. The sun was exceptionally bright today, and all the birds outside were chirping. I stared upon the horizon, and I can see the airships heading towards Detlas in a rather fast pace. While I was looking at them, dad locked the door to our house, and made sure that it was really locked, not UNlocked.

Reigknor: Are you sure you can walk to Detlas from here?
Ahrson: Yep! Let's go see those Airships!

We started to walk from our house to Detlas. I was walking so fast that dad asked me to slow down a bit. What can I say? I'm excited to see the festival, with all the airships there.

...and to eat.

But I slowed down to the point that I was behind him the whole way through. I just couldn't shake the feeling that someone was following us. I can even hear their footsteps behind me. But every time I would look back, they would always stop. I decided not to tell dad about it, since he might think that I'm just hearing things because I'm still half-asleep. But I can really hear those footsteps...

...and they're getting closer and closer.

Since no one seems to be giving this love. And I'm bored.
It's interesting. I like the style of different color for dialogue. Maybe give some more scenery for the footsteps? If it's in the forest, that's a lot creepier than say... on the path with Detlas in view

 

The formatting looks really choppy and kinda ruins it. This looks like a broken script for a play more than a story.

 

Ah... I'm not aiming for "story format" anyway. I'm surprised people found this. But thanks for being honest with me, I guess?
