Stealing

I'm using an outlaw armor and it gives me 26% stealing, will it lower my change of getting better armor? Because I've been grinding for an hour and I didn't get any legendary armor. Also were is a good place to grind for pelier?

 

Stealing gives emeralds when you basic attack a mob I'm pretty sure

 

All Stealing does is gives you a chance to make mobs drop an emerald when you hit them, up to five times per mob. It does not affect Loot Bonus in any way, though your inventory ends up filling faster since you have all those emeralds dropping, so it might -seem- like less gear is dropping since you're making more frequent trips back to town to unload your spoils.

 

Does stealing affect Villagers?

Well, it only works up to five times per mob. You're best using it while grinding normally.

 

So do the chances get lower after five of the same mob, or is it five times as likely?

 

Once Stealing has activated five times on one mob, it will never activate again on that particular mob, unless it respawns.
