Oh yeah, I remember watching the Yogscast play that game, I was always curious on whatever happened to it.....

 

I looked it up. Never seen it before, looks like it's still alive.

 

In all honesty, I don't like Starmade. I've been with it since early 2013 and it's really just a Voxel based space ship game. If that seems like your thing, go play it, but I don't enjoy the gameplay. It is incredibly dependent on resource gathering, and in multiplayer it favors aggressive pirating, or all out militarism.

I played on a decently sized server, and with three friends, we spent around 5 hours just attacking people who where gathering resources. This was so profitable we could builds massive ships with multiple batteries of the top tier weapons.

I like a game which is balanced in resource collection and fighting. In a game like Star Made, if you go down the former, you will not succeed in a short time period (in multiplayer).

I encourage you to try the game, but at the risk that it has very little variety in gameplay, and is nearly entirely dependent on dedication.

 

The main thing about StarMade is building aesthetically pleasing ships and faction warfare.

 

Sounds like every single game ever that has a skill tree and a PvP aspect. Good memes then.
