Squids Just Don't Add Up...

Following the support on my Dodegar rant, I thought I'd make another post on something that's bothered me for a while. SQUIDS. There are quite a few ingredients that are also parts of a squid. Here they are:



Now, you might be thinking, "What's the issue here? I don't get it." Well boy oh boy do I have a surprise for you because BAM:



A whole squid! All these squid part ingredients and there's also just a whole-ass squid. Now, those with common sense would think "Since all 3 ingredients above can be found in a squid, then the squid should have these effects:

• Spell Damage %
• Main Attack Neutral
• Main Attack %
• Water Damage %

And those who think this SHOULD be correct. Because one squid should contain a squid brain, a squid beak, and some ink, and by combining these all into the "squid" ingredient, they should all combine, right? WRONG. Take a look at what the squid does:



WHAT? 2 Mana steal? Where the hell did 2 mana steal come from, and where did all the other effects go? Since there is more than a brain, beak, and ink to a squid, I can't be too surprised that there's an added effect. But the fact that all the effects of the previous 3 ingredients are completely gone just doesn't make sense. By having a whole squid, it should only GAIN effects, not remove any.


Wynncraf Content Team, I sincerely hope you will consider altering these 4 ingredients to be more lore-friendly and immersive. I'm trying to become immersed in my wynncraft gameplay but when I see how inconsistent your squids are, I just can't! Please fix this game breaking bug as soon as possible.

 

They should add a squid butchering system, so you can choose just what cut you want for your perfect crafted item. Also, give it a fedora. A euphoric one.

 

When you use a whole squid it isn't brewed into the potion. It just gives your character some brewing tips to bring out the mana steal flavor and then goes back to the ocean. Your character forgets the tips after brewing that one potion because the squid's mom is an eldritch horror who psychically removes the memory so the squid can stay in business.

 

maybe the squid got its brain, beak, and ink sac removed

 

maybe it is a different kind of squid

 

Perhaps they are different squid species, which was skipped over in the name of the ingredients?
