So, I was searching for a spring build in this section, and I couldnt find one. And so I thought I would make my own thread for Spring. I asked my friend Triverr to use his and he said yes so here we go.

This is an elemental def/bomb spam Spring build. It works well in pvp and pve with high def as well as high dmg. Spring is a generally underrated weapon, I find, so here's a build to show everyone how OP spring really is. Build made by @Triverr

If you want this build to work extra well, I suggest getting Concentration on all your armor as it increases your dmg when low on mana.

    ARMOR

Helmet: Morph Stardust. This was a pretty clear choice. Its got mana regen and elemental def. Pretty standard, not much else to say other than you should get one with at least 2/4s and +40 sp.

ChestPlate: Boreal-patterned Aegis This was also a pretty obvious choice. Its got elemental def, mana regen, elemental damage all the good things that this build needs.

Leggings: Vaward. Look for spell damage and at least 20 sp. If you dont get enough skill points on all the items the build wont work and items will pop off.
    NRsOMfl.png

Boots: Capricorn. Really good boots. Look for Spell dmg, int % agil, and mana regen. I got lucky with these and got almost max stats in everything except for raw spell. Again, if the sp are low you wont be able to use the build. You could alternatively use Gaea-Hewn boots, but I don't want to waste another hive token when there's already capricorn.

    ACCESSORIES

For the rings I use 2 Prisms. Really good elemental def and good sp. look for at least +17sp.
    bUYtuIa.png

Bracelet: Gold Steam Bracelet. Air damage, agility, air def. It plays off capricorn really well and it's good to have ws. If you cant do legendary island yet, they you could switch this out for a contrail instead.
    6pbQoXn.png

Necklace: Diamond Hydro Necklace. Pretty obvious choice. This necklace is insanely overpowered. 12 int 2/4 is great. Again if you cant do legendary island yet then switch it out for Royal stormy amulet or Calming torc.

    Weapon

And finally, the shining gem of the build: Spring. This bow really is awesome. max stats for spring are 4/4mr, 39% water dmg, 195 health reg, and 13 intelligence. really just look for mana regen and intelligence. if you get good health regen and water dmg thats good, but this is a more defensive build than dmg based one.

your stats should be (not including spring):
    cnkBPrP.png

And your defenses & health should be:
    8kQhiwo.png

Heres the order that you should put on the items in.
    Vaward ->Stardust -> Prisms -> Hive chest -> capricorn->rest of accessories ->Spring

    TL;DR

This build is very good with high defenses to all elements (except thunder), good mana regen, fairly good dmg, and high agility and intelligence. In the end you dodge 65% of all attacks, and your mana cost is reduced by 75%. With this build I have soloed all of legendary island, Qira, and orange wybel. It's a must-have build if you ever get spring.

Thanks to @Triverr for the build.

You don't actually have high element defenses, but you do have positive ones. The compass is a big liar.

Yeah... this isn't the best spring build by a long shot. I'm too poor and lazy to experiment further. This works well enough for me in PvP, so I'm done with it for now.

Serious question: How much constitutes high elemental defense? I know this isn't Gravity+Gemini+Guardian levels of tank.

I'll definitely check that out one I have the time to get more Diamond tier stuff. Either way walk speed is nice.

    ^^^^^^^^^^^^
Yeah, this wasn't meant to be a tank build. It was mostly made for nether PvP because I had nothing else to do at the time, and it functions well there I would say. The defenses are high enough to tank at least one or two hits from most mythic weapons (barring Alkatraz, Grandmother, and of course Cataclysm), which can mean surviving and killing your attacker. Weaker builds can hardly harm me. Thats the only purpose for all the tank, and it does that just fine.

I used to run more health regen stuff and like you said, and it was laughably terrible. No arguments there.

I'd be up for a nether brawl sometime if you're up for it. Should be pretty fun.

I'd say high element defenses to be 700 ele def, while 1000 ele def is extreme.
