Mage/Dark Wizard Something To Think About.

Hi!

I was bored, and wanted to see which of my wands did more damage. So I ran a test:

Spoiler: The Subjects

Full thunder bonder vs. unpowdered lament. Used the same build for each one, it has no +%thunder or +%water damage (I think).

-Stardust
-Soulsig
-Vawards
-Capricorn (1 t6 earth, no difference)

-Concentration
-Facile
-Prowess
-Morph-Ruby

And I recorded 30 meteore shots for each wand. I don't have the screenshots, but I do have the numbers, attached in an excel sheet below (or text if you don't have excel).

From my limited data, Bonder **SEEMS** (zero guarentee) to deal about 400 more damage. Not much, I'd say they're roughly equivalent. However, Lament is more consistent in damage output, ranging from 4394-8695 (average 6992) versus Bonder's 4393-11022 (average 7384).

(btw I have 460 raw spell, so all of Bonder's "neutral damage" says 460.)

Bonder also does far more elemental damage of all three types, although thats probably because I haven't powdered up lament yet.

I'll have to run this test again after I get 3 water 6s. :)

Bonder.txt and Lament.txt contain the raw data for each wand's damage.

btw, the "test.txt" file is an excel file. Forums won't let me upload an excel file :(

If you want to view it, just rename it to test.xlsx. I used excel 2016, older versions may not render the graphs properly.

Just wanted to put this out there: Bonder's not a terrible wand :D

Putting powders on the lament will make a difference because currently half your dmg is not affected by the 70% dmg increase provided by int

 

Yes. Exactly.

Which is why I still think lament will deal more damage. I will re-test this when I get powders.
