Some Interesting Item Lore

I was searching through some of my screenshots and I found that I had taken a screenshot of these leggings. I was probably planning on selling them or something.

I believe I remembered them being called "bridge of the divide," however I'm not certain as it appears the top of the item description is cut off by the edge of the minecraft window. They are chain leggings. I can provide the full screenshot but there is nothing else in it to note.

Could this be why the corruption in Wynn is not "spreading"? Or why it wasn't fully corrupt when it was discovered in the first place? Or something like that?

I'm not particularly up to date on every single bit of lore, and I haven't even gotten to endgame stuffs yet. So if there's some official explanation to this, I'm excited to hear it.

What's more interesting is that they don't appear in the Public API...

 

They're still an item, the "exact" name wasn't given. He was close or maybe even spot on it is bridge of divide or close. I've seen it in shops before.

 

Remove the space between the dot and com. The forums think I'm a bot if I post links.

I also just looked up the name in the search, and "Bridge of the divide" is the correct name. It appears in some shops.

 

No, they're not. The Lore doesn't exist in the API.

Sorry, I meant that they're not in the API, which is strange. The only others known weapons or armour are Archangel and Thrundacrack

 

Hmmm I found a few things not in the API... I'm pretty sure Witherheads bow isn't in there. Ra and Aurora come to mind as well.

I can think of plenty more items that aren't in he item. Memento, Third Eye, Raindrop, Stratus, Az just to name a few off the top of my head. A ton of items aren't in the api, not just a few.

I have no doubt the leggings are referencing something that was revealed in Wynnexcavation D. I put the explanation in the spoiler below, so if you don't want to spoil this, feel free to not read it.

Spoiler: Wynnexcavation Site D Spoilers

After you discover the final crystal, you have to progress through a small puzzle/battle/parkour gauntlet. During a portion of the action something interesting is narrated. The narration reveals that the origin of the corruption is clashing forces of darkness and light, fighting for influence from other realms. Corruption is formed wherever these realms touch or fight each other. In terms of lore, Bridge of the Divide is noteworthy because it is a non-corrupt entity created by fusing light and dark.

There's also a little more context to be found in the Taproot quest line and Memory Paranoia, but I think Site D is really all you need to understand this lore.
