So Many Questions, Any Help Is Appreciated

I want to start playing the game again. Since I stopped playing before the Gavel update, I'd need someone to fill me with what happened since then. Too many threads out there, not sure which ones should I read. Answers don't need to be long, and you can always redirect me to other threads. Tried reading the official threads in the news section, but it's so confusing, especially with all the updates.

Questions:
1) I'm VIP+, why isn't my name blue in game?
2) What are the major changes since the Gavel update?
3) Rings and similar, is there a decent guide I can read more about them? Like, their drop rate, which ones to farm, etc...
4) I understand there is a new way of traveling? I'm in some unknown place, how do I get back to e.g. Detlas?
5) What's META in this game?
6) Are tanky builds with health and mana steal a viable and effective thing?
7) Max level is 101?
8) How bad is the lag?
9) Where can I read more about bonuses gears provide? Like, what does+% exploding do, their caps etc.
10) How do I identify an item?
11) Any decent guide on powders?
12) Best way to level up is to do quests?
13) Haven't played for a loooong time, anything else you think I should know?

Any guides you think I should read are welcome.
I main Archer, level 75, if any of that matters to you.

^Those are the easiest threads I could find.
3. Accessories can be found only in loot chests, quest rewards, or shops I think. And http://wynnapps.tk/item/? can tell you all the different ones.
4) The only ways to travel that I know of atm is the airship from detlas to cinfras, the ship guy that can take you around the ocean, the airship from corkus city to kandoa-beda, scrolls, horse, and /kill.
5) No idea
6) I have no idea about builds.
7) Currently it is.
8) Depends on your internet and if the server you are on is bad. For me I don't have any lag except for on one quest.
9) I think there is a thread that talks about that but I can't find it.
10) You go to the identifier? There is one in most major cities and minor.
11) Yeah but like 9) I forgot.
12) Generally.
13) CORKUS IS THE MEMERS DREAM. OH and if you change your name you are stuck in your guild forever.

2) New item system, quests, 1300+ items added, level cap increased, new mobs, new IDs, GAVEL
3) You can find rings in T3 or T4 chests. You can also buy them from Accessory Merchants. Some Boss Altars may drop accessories as well.
4) Yes, that's the V.S.S. Seaskipper. You can find one on pretty much every dock, like Nemract or Llevigar.
5) XP armor, I don't know anything else
6) They aren't as good. Sure, health can help you, but other IDs can do a lot more. Look on http://wynnapps.tk/item/ for a full list of them.
7) Max level is 101, but soft cap is 100
8) There is almost no lag! ;D well sometimes
9) If you have any questions about IDs you can PM me and I can explain them to you. Exploding gives you a chance to create an explosion after killing a mob, dealing 100% damage to all other mobs around the one you killed.
10) Visit an Item Identifier in any town. You only need to identify an item once to get full stats.
11) This is a good guide.
12) Yes. Grinding is a viable option too.
13) Read up on all threads in the News section.
