So...How Much Would it Take to ACTUALLY Add a Class to Wynncraft?

    I'm wondering how much work it would take for the Content Team to put a new Class into the game? Like obviously my guess is:
    • The dozen or so weapon models for a lineup of Weapons (+ the same amount of unique Vanilla Minecraft items that they'd replace/retexture)
    • Cosmetic reskins of this Main Weapon to throw into the pool of cosmetics a Crate can give
    • 4 Spells, plus their VIP Class variants
    • Some Major IDs which affect gimmicks exclusive to the Class
    • With 2.1, more Aspects and Tomes to affect exclusively the new Class
    • A handful of Item Sets (in the same vein as Bony Circlet + Bony Bow for Archer or Spore Shortsword for Assassin), assuming anybody cares about Class-exclusive Item Sets
    • A Class theme which actually fits the game while having legitimate potential for 3 unique Archetypes
    • The entire Ability Tree for a new Class
    • A Main Weapon flexible enough to add twisted and/or shaken up sub-categories of Weapon to it like the other Classes' Weapons (Dagger isn't just Daggers, it's also Claws and Shortswords)
    • Stats for 200+ Items for this new Class, all approved by the Item Team(?)
    • Somebody actually programming all of this
    • Probably the entire dev team bugtesting this before release
    • Settling any disputes Salted, other main developers, or the Content Team has with this
    • Starting a social media campaign to prompt people to ask for this Class in the game and/or an entire signature website asking for it too?
    • A lot of time (dozens to hundreds of hours of work) committed to making this new Class
    • Doing any number of this list, myself, as volunteer work, before/after joining the developer team myself to work on this

    Added that to the list and credited you for it! And the fact that the list is so big even without the whole ATree is...yeah.

    To be fair, this is set to be the magnum opus of Class suggestions. I've been working on-and-off on this for the last 3 years, including idea-crafting, improving it, making it fit both alongside all 5 other Classes and into the vague lore of the game, and scrapping stuff that didn't fit it.

    ...Did I mention planning out the logistics of all this? (I could talk your ear off about it if you want me to)

    Put it in the Your Work forum where it can be appreciated instead of dissected for every flaw and denied.

    I really appreciate the advice, but it's bold of you to assume the first person dissecting it for each and every flaw wouldn't be me.

    There's going to be flaws regardless, because you aren't omniscient.
    Point is that most interactions with it will just be people going 'its neat I guess but there's some stuff wrong with it / it won't get added'. If you put it in your work people can just appreciate it as a fan concept and not a game suggestion
