so assassins can no longer jump again in mid air with vanish?

this will either take some getting used to or won't learn since i really relied on that back before my hiatus

 

Pretty much. Lacerate is the only way you can get continuing upward momentum while airborne

 

continuing hiatus, i really couldn't get used to it and my detlas tele scroll refuses to work as "i haven't been there yet" so maybe next time i won't struggle with the new system.

 

It's intended apparently, one of the three Assassin archetypes, Acrobat, allows the player to fly in the air pretty much endlessly. Check out some videos on that if it interests you

 

Yeah acrobat’s dash combined with double jump and shift for slow fall will allow you to fly really well
