Skywars Guide For People Who Play Hypixel Skywars

not sure if this is allowed or what, but ill just take the road less traveled (also this is on hypixel forums so if u can find it...)

Ok, so I'm well aware that a decent amount of people play skywars on hypixel, and I'd just like to share my ways on how to get better at the game!
(Targeted for solo insane)

Tip 1: Max out your perks. Not all of them, but try to max out Juggernaut and Bulldozer. Doing this can give you a big boost when you kill someone and someone tries to swoop in and clean up after you. Maxing out resistance boost will help against ecologist rushers. If you like using hunter, max out blazing arrows and arrow recovery. Getting Marksmanship will also help too. (Of course if you're a normal player, get Mining Expertise. It helps when you wanna craft better armor.)

Tip 2: Find a kit that matches your playstyle. If you like rushing, pick ecologist, or speleologist (If you can use it properly, cannoneer works well for rushing). If you're on a map where you can just parkour to the next island, go for knight, or scout. But only use scout if you doubt your parkour. The gold helmet can help when you're rushing other players. If you camp and wait for others to come to you, try hunter or armorer. If you're a wuss, go for troll, pyro, or snowman. And if you're a person like me who joins fights while they're happening, try farmer, or maybe even fisherman.

Tip 3: Use what's given to you in the chests. For example, if you get a ton of good armor, you should probably wait for people to come to you. If you're given potions or a ton of blocks, you should probably rush. If you get a bow and less armor, then you could try to shoot some people and knock them down or kill them if they don't have good armor. There's also the things in the middle. If you get ender pearls, that means you could either bait people to come to you, knock off hearts, and pearl away if you get low; or you could just pearl straight away and kill them while they're enchanting or looting chests or focusing on another person. If you get a bow, camp at mid and shoot everyone trying to get to mid. If you can get all the good armor but no pearls, you can still try to bridge to others or just wait for them to get to you. If you get the fishing rod with knockback 3 or the infamous slimeball with knockback 10, Just wait for them to come to you, and give them a good hit. The slimeball is a bit risky however, because of the fact that it hits people so far it might just hit them to another island and they hit a wall so they stay on that island. If it isn't bridged to, don't go for it. If it is, go for it.

Tip 4: Bridge carefully. There are three types of bridging. The fastest one is just finding the sweet spot of placing blocks and you can just build a bridge instantly. You can get shot down by eggs or snowballs, but some people just can't aim and you might be able to bridge across. It's easier just to wait and see if they have those projectiles first though. The second way of bridging is a safe bridge, and there are two kinds of this method. You place down a block, and you place a block above on both sides so that it's hard for you to get knocked down. This method is risky, however because if they're staring at you from an angle that hasn't been built yet, then you can still get hit down. If you're in a spot like that, you can do a "cave" bridge, which is simply surrounding yourself with blocks from all angles so that way it's impossible for you to get hit down by projectiles. However, you won't be able to see where your enemy is, so it's possible they can bridge to your island, and then shoot you down from where you started bridging. (I'll bring pics later, my pc is down at the moment)

Tip 5: Keep your minecraft sounds up. Not loud enough so that they make you deaf or give you earaches, but loud enough so you can hear what's going on around you. If someone ender pearls to you or is bridging to you, you might be able to hear it happen and prepare yourself for an incoming attack.

Pyro is OP because...

+ I like flames and I feel like a Fire Dragon Slayer
+ It's OP when you are used to it
+ You can use shit to burn other shit
+ You can sometimes fist people to death while they are on fire
+ Your awesome because you have Pyro

 

That map was so aids. You had all the n00bs spamming bows and stuffs so you couldn't move

 

Oh man I play Skywars, I mainly do solo though I only go team if someone I know is on.
