I've always felt that ToL and all of its reqs count as the Wynn question (even if they aren't that great), purely because there's more of them and they take place over more levels/areas. Not to mention that WynnEx takes you to the ocean which isn't really Wynn.

I don't think they had a questline in mind when they first made Wynn, and then later re-made in. It's much more obvious however that for Gavel Reborn they most definitely had a central story (Realm of Light).
In my opinion the Wynn story need's to be somewhat re-developed to show more of the war against corruption, maybe some siege of Nemract and an eventual assault on the Nether portal or something.
It'd also be great if they showed more of the Corruption being a third power in the war of the realms instead of an affiliate of Darkness.
