    Okay, so I know there have been a shit ton of poll threads recently and whatnot, but this is a serious question. Do you think that Wynn should have some PvP? Note this does not mean that Wynn should have PvP everywhere, but do you think it would be cool if there were PvP and other connection concepts in specific parts of the map, that aren't crucial to overall gameplay? Tell me what you think, and based on the results I may post some threads in general suggestions soon.

    Wynn IS an PvE game, with PvP as an extra "hey, you can do this, too!"
    PvP in the overworld would make it much more difficult to lootrun, to get resource when economy drops, etc.
    However, here's a bunch of stuff I WOULD like for PvP:

    -Duel arena
    A specialized arena for dueling. No mobs, and possibly some fun obstacles/gimmicks. We can go a step further by making it so that the arena has a bunch of forms, and you choose one before the duel. This way, we get a more refined dueling expirience.
    -Pvp balance
    Decrease damage from other players, nerf defences, whatever. As long as there's a diverse PvP meta. (Crafted items will help, as they allow someone to build pretty much any build)
    -New forms of duels
    Having parties duel in team-duels? Three-way battles? Capture the flag? Lots of possiblities.
    -Incentives
    Some chances to get exclusive items from PvP would likely make many want to play PvP, so the nether has a reason to exist. We can remove bombs and such from the gc store, so we can re-add gc!
    What's not to love?

    I'd like to see PvP implemented in some form and be able to get peoples items, money, etc. from it (would be in a controlled duels or arena situation as you described).

    There already are duels? That's the extent of the PvP in the overworld, and I think it's fair. It allows players to engage in PvP only when they want to. That's a good compromise IMO. The Nether pvp needs to be reworked tho. Everytime I login, I check the players in the nether lobby and see 1 server with 0. Feelsbadman, but there isn't really a reason to play PvP either. It's just more tallies for the stats/playername page.

    Duels are underwhelmingly bland at best. I think I can vouch for those of us who like PvP when I say that there needs to be something better than simply duels for PvP.

    There are no incentives and overall it just isn't balanced or fun.

    but nether is just dead they should just leave it and maby make a quest inside the nether or somthing

    Personally I'd like it if Wynn had a bit more of a focus on PVP, it would lead to more stuff to do in the endgame. although right now PVP isn't the most balanced though so they should probably fix that first. However, I wouldn't like PVP in the overworld. I and others probably just want to explore the world without worrying about some player killing me, so PVP should be confined to specific arenas like the nether.

    Runescape had a “wilderness” which was similar to the concept of the nether but in the overworld. It was not required to enter for quests but it had PvP enabled. When a player was killed, they would drop their current inventory including their gold that wasn’t stored in a bank. Id like to see something like this in the nether where items and emeralds are dropped (or even in the overworld but we already have the nether so why add a new PvP zone). Of course they’d need to fix PvP first. A duel arena would also be really cool.

    PVP should be a part of warring. If you actually had to fight other players for territories it would make guilds much more fun. As is, wars are just about who has more players online at any given moment. I do think there needs to be a PVP tax on stats when fighting other players though, and heal needs a massive nerf too.

    I am not in guilds, but I'd watch that. There could actually be competition among players to make better and better builds and work with other players in their guild to fight other players, rather than fight a bunch of enemies.
    That won't change with PvP in wars tho. Whoever has more players will have a numbers advantage. That's a given.
    It's almost like I'm repeating myself now.

    I would be fine if there were arenas made specificially for PvP purposes (other than the nether, while still preventing soul point and item loss) but I wouldn't like it if players dropped their items if they were killed by other players in the main world

    Only in alternative (PvP) version, separate from original Wynncraft with PvE.
    I think it should be like:
    1. Players are able to fight only a players of their lvl category, like 21-31 lvl or 81-91.
    2. No PvP before lvl 21
    3. No PvP in cities/towns
    4. Alternative Item System
    5. 7 Soul Point max but no PvE death item drops
    6. Teams are not allowed
    7. No PvP in Dungeons or Quest territories
    I think its good idea BUT theres a HUGE MINUS, Wynncraft is VERY BIG to find players to kill.

    I think it would be controversial. I also think making players compete is an interesting idea.

    I don’t think it’s a good idea. It would basically just become filled with rainbow tanks and poison spammers, and forcing players to go through it would likely just make players not want to play. Looting dead people, especially if it removes items from those who died, would have a similar effect. Also, the game overall is just too unbalanced to be in a situation where PvP is required, and we have the dueling system for when PvP is wanted in the overworld.

    I think that if they are careful with it and make the right choices, Pvp can be a great addition to the game.

    Yeah.... I don't really know the solution to the problem of controversy. If it's a hot topic, it's probably best the devs stay away from the idea though. As a community, we're all pretty trigger happy, so it's probably best to not feed the fire, as much as I would like to :(
    I must have missed your previous comments, and that's entirely my bad. I went into really great detail about this a while ago on another thread, but more of my idea was something like a non war related guild pvp system, where two guilds could enter a war zone and fight each other for some sort of prize or reward (maybe a cool down on declaring wars for the loser or something). In fairness, I really didn't communicate my thoughts well, and I'm sorry about that. What I wanted to point out is group pvp would be a cool addition to the game, and I think guilds would be the best way to make up the teams. Whether or not it would have any bearing on the whole Territory thing is a topic for a separate discussion. Thanks for pointing that out!
