Should I Even Bother Leveling Up A Shaman Class?

I'm tryna get all the classes to lvl 100. I took a small break and want to start fresh. The only class I haven't started is shaman, however I heard shaman isn't very good because of cci and its defense reduction. Is shaman even fun? Can I solo with it? Idk if I should start a shaman class or not need advice ty


Edit: just saw that cci got reworked. How much does it indirectly buff shaman in terms of viability compared to like archer or mage

 

shaman isnt a top tier class but you should still atleast try it out and see how it is

 

Every class is viable, try shaman out. If you don’t like it, don’t play it. If you do, finish the playthrough

 

as a shaman main, I'd say it's fun. granted, I haven't played archer, assassin, or warrior, so I can't compare it to those, but it's certainly 10x more fun than mage.
you can absolutely solo any boss in the game with shaman; if you are struggling with the low defence you can use tanky builds and health potions.
spell shaman will definitely deal more damage with the changes, because aura does more damage close to the center of the totem, and now mobs will be able to be pulled there sometimes. idk how much more damage, because that depends how long mobs are affected by cc for.
