Art Sage's Real Life Gallery

So as many of you may or may not know, not only am I a Wynncraft builder, but I also I enjoy working on art in real life. That being the case, I figured I could blend the two by introducing some of you wynncraftians to my real life work. So here are a few of the things I've made. I'll update this gallery if I draw something new. If you have any suggestions, just let me know. If I ever feel stumped I'll be sure to check back here. Anyways, enjoy!

As you see, I particularly enjoy working in fine pen, but I've done some painting as well.

Whoa, great work! I can definitely see that you've got the attention to detail that many people who use graphic pens have. Very nice.

The gears and cogs theme was actually part of my AP studio concentration last year. In the concentration, students are asked to pick a theme or a medium they wanted to work with and develop ideas within. They have to then make 12 pieces in that theme. I titled my concentration "Man and Machine," and tried to metaphorically explain issues introduced by technology and the impacts on our lives. Also I thought gears looked pretty cool. Glad you like it!

 

Is it bad that I find the moth scarier than the spider.

Well, Sage, I'm not an expert on either lepidoptera (moths and butterflies) or arachnids (which includes spiders), however, I spent a few minutes examining your drawings, and they are quite convincing, and very impressive. As to putting the spider behind a spoiler, forget it, it's simply gorgeous. It doesn't need hiding.

The lady holding on for dear life above the city and gears, was that inspired by Edward Gorey's style?

 

Although I do love me some Edward Gorey, it would be stretching the truth to say he inspired me directly. Perhaps indirectly yes, but I didn't really think much about his work when I started making these. It was a nice guess though :)

I asked salted and he said "lol nah." I hadn't shown him my portfolio at that point, to be fair.

 

I have no idea what the paintings are supposed to be but the ink drawings are sexy as hell.
