Rise Of The Quartron Trouble

hello! I am currently doing the Rise of the Quartron quest. I have entered the bandits mansion and I am inside the big quartz room with the force field door but I cannot use the teleport panel needed to get through. it says "better not mess with the teleport panel right now". I looked online and apparently you need to enter the house by the main entrance but whenever I try, it says "You can feel and invisible Wall at the mansion's entrance. weapons are ineffective against it."
Please can I receive some guidance? thanks!

 

I cannot open it for some reason. Does it depend on the version?
