(Sorry for my English it isnt my native language) Riftwalker is pretty much the Ritualist of Mage since it usually is used to buff the other Archetypes, Ligthbender and Arcanist, and is pretty much useless otherwise. Lightbender and Arcanist are polar opposites but still share a border with eachother even tho they cannot benefit from eachother. Why not put Riftwalker in the middle instead of Lightbender so that atleast each Archetype can benefit from the other. And maybe they could rework Riftwalker into a Ice Snake heavy Archetype (idk how) So that it could use the abilities from Arcanist for Ice Snake and so that Ice Snake has some use since otherwise it isnt used.

because arcbender interactions, like arcane speed (do not diss arcbender)
riftwalker is already more ice snake focused than the other archetypes, but it's my opinion that meteor should be rift's focus (single target-y) and ice snake should mainly be in arcanist (aoe for mana bank)

I asked this a while ago on a thread for ability tree balance questions, if I’m recalling correctly the main reason is that riftwalker being in the middle would allow more inter-archetype interactions than would be properly balanced
