Returning to wynncraft. Should i start from scratch?

    Hello everyone
    After taking a 3 year break and just graduating year 12 (crazy to think I started playing this server in grade 4), I thought I'd revisit wynncraft, and i was just overwhelmed with how much has changed.
    I was just wondering if its worth the effort of starting from scratch and learning like that or if its even fun starting from scratch (last time i reset was when gavel came out so I don't know what the experience would be like).
    If so what class do you think would be the best to go with (is Shaman actually enjoyable?)
    Is it worth grinding the professions as well, as i know they got majorly overworked.

    Absolutely worth starting from scratch. With the new archetype system, classes are completely different now and it's worth experiencing the new system from the ground up so you can get used to your abilities and try out different things

    Leveling up through Wynn doesn't feel as stale as it used to since you have a ton of customization regarding the Ability Tree compared to 4 spells that will never change

    What class is your favourite then in regards to the customisation provided by the ability tree?

    i know you didnt ask me but shaman overall is really fun, acrobat assassin is fun too and is currently getting buffs and warrior seems fun too

    Warrior probably has the most flexibility in customizing the ability tree. All archetypes for Warrior can be blended together with no real downsides, and going one path doesn't lock you out of another.

    Archer can blend together decently but Sharpshooter is a bit tricky to pair together with the other archetypes for casual purposes due to constantly losing Focus. Each Archetype on their own however aren't bad

    Assassin really can only blend Shadestepper and Trickster together, Acrobat pretty much requires you to go the full route if you want it to actually be good.

    Mage has a really powerful Riftwalker and Lightbender combo, giving high damage over time and excellent survivability, but Lightbender is completely locked out of being combined with Arcanist. Riftwalker can blend a bit with Arcanist but typically Arcanist wants to go almost the full route otherwise it suffers A LOT

    Shaman has another powerful combo: Acolyte and Ritualist. Generally people only grab Mask of the Lunatic (first major Ritualist ability) and then go full Acolyte, due to Ritualist's weak base power. Ritualist effectively locks out Summoner due to Masks overriding Uproot spell (Summoner would lose a lot of DPS without Uproot)

    Don't want to barge in, but personally I would say that shaman summoner is the best class for grinding levels, especially because you're starting from scratch. Assasin was kinda nerfed tbh.
