As the title states, I am a returning player from quite a while ago. I quit right after the item identifier changes and a lot of the mechanics such as crafting and all the new map changes are totally new to me. I also have a bunch of old items that no longer work such as {Image can't be inserted because this is my first post} What can i do with these? How do i successfully get back into the game? I am currently probably going to restart on a new account so i can properly relearn the game but I am completely clueless as of what to do with my old stuff.

^^^ The failed image upload is of the old weapon Fierte which no longer works for some reason. I'll try to comment the link or if anyone wants it i can DM it.

Ok thanks! Also, are there any threads explaining how crafting works and how useful crafting is? I have a bunch of crafting items that i have no idea what to do with or how to sell.

I don't think there's a comprehensive guide to that yet. Once the in-game marketplace is back up, selling crafting ingredients will be easier.

BTW, idk what type of crafted items you have, but if they are not that much in demand, you can sell/scrap them to the blacksmith.

Its not crafted items, but the items used for crafting. I have a few 2-3 star ingredients that i have no idea what to do with.

When the marketplace is back up, sell them on there. Most usable ones will go in the range of 10-30 EB, with particularly valuable ones (e.g. Bottled Fairy) going for at least a couple of LE.

I'm guessing most of my low level 0-1 star ingredients wont sell or go for very little? Is there any worth in keeping those?

Usually not, although sometimes people will buy them in bulk for leveling. I'd say there's no point in keeping most of those, although it does depend on the particular ingredient.

There was a guide for crafting but it's probably outdated, here is the thread. There is also some guide videos about crafting.

Here is what I would recommend:
there is two ways to play with profession/crafting:
    1. Play using only crafted items.
    2. Play with an endgame character to level up faster.

From what I heard, it seems endgame crafted items are worthy but the low/mid level ones aren't, probably because you level up faster so it isn't worth to make a good crafted items that takes a lot of times compared to just getting an item from a mob/chest or just buying one.
