Resourcepack Issues/annoyance

Hi,
I was wondering if anyone could please help me with an issue I've been experiencing for many months? I'm a long time Wynncraft player but I don't feel I am able to play because of the new resource pack.

I've tried everything the thread from Salted said, enabling resourcepack, deleting everything with "legacy" from server pack file... etc. When I am ingame, I just get spammed with "You need to download the resourcepack!" and it is extremely annoying because it makes it hard to see NPC dialogue and messages from my friends.

NOTE: I've also tried disabling optifine and trying different versions

 

Down load the new version of minecraft and/or just reinstall it
