Removing <> In Permissions Ex

I'm trying to edit my prefixes and suffixes, and then my chat appears like this:



the < and > are what i want gone, but I have no idea how. I checked config and saw nothing about it.

 

Try installing essentials chat or some type of pex chat plugin (worked for me)

 

EssentialsChat has no commands, it was already installed.

 

Just delete random stuff until something works.

 

Have you tried turning it on and off again?

 

Are you using Essentials?
If you are, go to Essential's config.yml in the server files, search through it until you see <> in the EssentialsChat part and change it.
(May take some time to find it..)

 

Not if you command f to find the essentialschat thingy. If you press enter a few times, you'll find the huge command section of the yml file.
