Hello! I've recently jumped back into Minecraft, and I'm having a blast on the Wynncraft server!

I was hoping to find a solution to something that's been bugging me, which is re-enabling the Minecraft Vanilla Music over the Wynncraft music - it's just a preference, but sadly it seems the Wynncraft Server music either replaces or overwhelms the client from playing any Vanilla music.

I'm using a vanilla client, with the resource pack the Wynncraft server downloads to my client. In the music tab I have 2 main sliders along with the rest - "Minecraft Music" and "Wynncaft Music".

I've tried to set the Wynncraft Music Slider all the way down and turning up the Minecraft Music Slider all the way up but I only get silence. (Minecraft music slider is also colour coded red - Wynncraft slider green, not sure if this shows one is enabled permanently / the other is disabled?)

I try to set the Music Frequency to always play and turning on the "Show Music Toast" to see what song file plays - but it'll just say "other.blank" is now playing constantly, which I think is the name of the Wynncraft music file?

I've also been recommended to try turning the Jukebox / Blocks slider all the way down - but nothing happens.

Anyways - the reason I say the Wynncraft music overwhelms the client is because it seems no matter what frequency the music is set to, it's always playing, so it would seem that the vanilla music files never get a chance to be toggled on? Just speculating.

If possible - would it be against the rules to somehow find the Wynncraft Server Resource pack and replace the music with the Vanilla music? Or does anyone know a workaround with this? Maybe a Vanilla Music Resource pack?

you can't do it, the resource pack replaces the vanilla music with total silence (other.blank) and the custom songs are played serverside using noteblocks. you could theoretically make a modified resource pack that re-enables the vanilla music, but you'll have to constantly keep it updated if you do, as we're constantly changing things and shuffling them around. mob models and item sprites will break every so often unless you update the pack so that it has parity with the latest official release. alternatively, i think there's mods that allow you to set your own resource packs as higher priority than server ones, so you could just make a pack that reenables the vanilla music and does nothing else, then set it to higher priority than the wynn pack so that it overrides it. you're allowed to do it, btw.

its a lot of effort though, at that point its probably just easier to mute the wynn music and listen to a minecraft music playlist on youtube in the background...
