For some reason, when I allocate 2 or 3 G of RAM to the game, it only uses 20%-40% of it, even though the frame rate plummets and freezes. Does anyone know how to fix this? My computer have 4 G of RAM, so I can only allocate at most 3.

Well first of all, this issue isn't about wynncraft, so it should probably be posted in the minecraft section.

Secondly, if your pc only has 4gb of ram, you should definitely not allocate 3gb to minecraft; This'll cause the rest of your system to lag the game more than it would with low memory. I'd recommend 1.5, or 2 at maximum. The reason why all of the allocated ram isn't used should be quite obvious; If there's no need to use it, it's not going to be used. If you press f3, you should see your allocated ram and how much of it is actually being consumed in the top right corner. If you lag regardless of allocated memory, it most likely means your hardware simply isn't strong enough to handle minecraft at it's full potential, which is why you should lower your graphics settings by a landslide.

(Ps. You did remember to correctly set both the maximum AND the minimum ram usage, right?)

Adding to this, if you haven't already noticed, when your Minecraft starts being at ~80%+ of the allocated ram, it starts to lag, your screen freezes etc.
I have 16 GB RAM, however, I'd never allocate more than 4.

    K, thanks for the info.

K, thanks for clearing it up. I thought all you needed was at most 4 G of RAM to run Minecraft perfectly. And yeah, I did remember.

I’ll have to check when I get home. I’m currently using a HP computer with Windows 7 on it. It’s probably about 7 years old :-/

maybe to run it, but not very comfortably I'd think. Although, I started playing minecraft from my little eee laptop running on an intel atom and 1 GB ram. I got 1-6 fps and thought it was the best thing ever. My formative years were precious. Now I have to see 70 fps constantly or else my eyeballs roll to the back of my head and I start spinning in my chair (it's not a swivel chair). Anywho, you should just get a few extra GB of ram. It's not too expensive depending on the type, if I remember correctly.
