Mage/Dark Wizard Rainbow Mage build help

Hi! I'm looking to see if my current rainbow mage build could be improved upon since the new update? I like being good and well rounded, (like fast mana regen, decent damage, more health) I prefer fast weapons, and I suck at any games really and I die a lot, so something that wont insta die from my lack of skill would be nice!!!

Please keep in mind, I haven't actively played in about a year before this current update, so I'm gonna need coaching since I've forgotten how most items, skills, etc works now.

Btw I'd suggest you to use various wand instead of Cascade since Cascade itself is weak

 

I would go with the Morph set, versatile and cheap. Allows you to play any of the three archetypes with almost any wand.

Riftwalker:
Spam Meteor + Ice Snake or Heal as filler to reset the mana cost. (Ice Snake and autoattacks give winded stacks)
With Cascade (rainbow dmg):

Light Bender + some Riftwalker:
Cast Meteor to summon Ophanims, spam autoattack to hit with them, use heal often to heal them.
Just changing the Abilities, you can have the exact same build as with Riftwalker
