Question|will The New Gavel Resource Pack Be Compatible With Other Resource Packs?

The title says it all.

For an example:

I use faithful all the time. So will the Gavel Resource Pack allow me to still have the faithful look on the blocks and items that aren't changed?

If you don't know what I mean, when you make a Resource pack, the items you didn't retexture will stay as default, unless the following items aren't in the pack file.

So my question is: will it be compatible with other Resource Packs, or will it turn everything to the default look?

(Pls don't hate me, its just a question, and I'll be more then happy if you'll answe me)

I|think that you'll probably need to change to the new Gavel resource pack.
It seems that it uses textures for boss fights and 3D items that I doubt are in faithful, so... yeah. :L

Of course, I'm not certain, as I'm not a staff member, but it only seems logical - I don't really see how boss fights would work out if you don't use the Gavel texture pack.
I guess they could work, but they'd look pretty weird.

The resource pack is being forced onto clients.

 

But what i asked was that if you have faithful (or any other reasource pack) on, would all the blocks, and what not will change into default? I mean, will you be able to mix this 3d gavel pack with your own resoruce pack? So all the blocks that weren't retextured will show up as the other resource pack your'e using. Because for a lot of texture packs that have non- rexextured items, they will stay as default even if you put another resource pack on.
So I know I won't get the faithful look on the weapons, but what about the blocks? will they be forced to stay as default? or not?

 

I think the resource pack will change all the block textures too so it would look weird to have some textures from a different resource pack in between. If it doesn't, normally you can have more than one pack at once if each pack only contains a part of the textures, but I think a server resource pack overrides all packs that you have.

 

But the pack may contain all the textures in the game. The non related wynncraft textures may be just default.

 

On other servers when the resource pack was forced, it only changed certain items, meaning that my faithful on blocks and stuff never changed. Only the custom textures did. I think it was because there wasn't any textures for the other things in the forced on pack file, so it just went with what you had to begin with on them.

The texture pack changes the blocks to their own, new Wynn textures. Videos and teasers have all shown different block textures.

 

This has happened to me too.
Though, if it doesn't, and we're allowed to download the Gavel Resource Pack, then if you know how, you can just edit the texture files into one pack and duplicate the original so when you play other servers you have your normal things.

 

I really don't like that there doing this i like just plain ole minecraft.

 

I do agree that the default textures has charm, but what they are creating will both live up to and beyond the default textures ;D

 

But why must they force us to use it I just feel it is right to do that!
