Question About The Temple Of Legends

I started the Temple of Legends quest, and in the big collectathon at the beginning, it says I need Bob's Crushed Soul. The thing, I haven't completed Bob's Lost Soul yet. I know I don't need to kill Bob to get the crushed soul, but I eventually want to do Bob's Lost Soul, and I am afraid of losing the crushed soul permanently. Will i get Bob's Crushed Soul back after completing ToL or can I just go back to the blacksmith and get another crushed soul?

Neither - You don't need Bob's Crushed Soul after completing ToL.
The only way you can get Bob's Crushed Soul is by completing Bob's Lost Soul.

 

Actually, I did this on my archer. As soon as you get the soul you can turn it in, and it won't affect the quest. All the NPCs talk as though you still have it, and you can complete the quest without issue later. The item itself doesn't matter - it's which stages of the quest you've done. Trust me, I actually tried it.
