Question about Shaman Projectile Spread

So uh, simply put, question about the projectile spread of the Shaman. Just to be clear, I have the "Hand of the Shaman" ability that increases my projectile count to 5. Anyways, is the spread of the projectiles (the angle between each projectile, left to right) meant to decrease when looking up and down? I've noticed that when looking directly up or down, all the projectiles basically become 1, and progressively looking up or down also very clearly shows the projectiles getting closer and closer.

 

I’m not so sure that it was originally meant to work like that, but it has been in the game since the class was added, so at this point it might as well be considered a feature.
