Question about ranks and recurring rewards

Hello, sorry if this has already been answered I can't find a forum post talking about it also if this is in the wrong section.

I am curios how the recurring rewards work, like if I rank to Hero do I keep the daily crate from VIP+ and have one t1 and one t2 crate or do I only get one t2 crate and no t1 crate. If it does work the first way where you get the crates from the previous tier is it worth just going straight to champion or buying each rank individually, also does it work the same with the mob totems?

No, you only get one t2 crate if you upgrade to hero
Same works for mob totems
