Quest: Acquiring Credentials as Assassin

Hey,
is the quest Acquiring Credentials bugged right now? Because I am currently at the airship fight and have to return the cannonballs, but that is near impossible. If they are aimed at the middle part of my ship, I can reach them just before impact.
But as soon as they target one of the sides they explode outside of my range. Even if I jump down on the propellor, I can not hit them in time. And if I fail, I have to try the next time almost always with a heart minus because of a cannonball that was still traveling and hit the ship while resetting.

Is there anything I can do? Or do I really have to reskill for attack range extension?

Edit: I can't even leave the fight because the Leave this area hole does not work and just teleports me back to the middle of the ship.
Edit 2: Not even /kill works. I have tried it twice and lost 4 Soulpoints and all that happened was that I shortly saw Cinfras and was teleported back again. So it looks like my Assassin is truly stuck in a quest.

Final edit: /kill kinda worked in the end. It interupted the restart process of the event I was able to leave via the Leave this area hole.

 

I always keep my ability shards with me at all times in case something like this happens (although I love Wynncraft I'll admit that this part of the quest was kinda cringe, like they could have done something similar to GG boat cannon fight) on my assassin I put points into the shurikens ability which has very long range to hit the cannonballs, ability shards are only like 300 on TM if you don't have any from daily rewards so you can grab some from there (you should have a few LE at this point from quests so don't worry about money or just grind seavale for like an hour bcuz it makes 5le an hour if you know where to look).
