Art Quartz Lore Study

Some random quratz lore study I did and tuning something that did not really make sense or work in world building

Quartz in current stage have some problematic implication like how its explode and destabilize when it absorb magic at certain extend.

This is bad.

When the magic itself is part of nature world like how Grookwart mention that magic like Earth magic is Earth itself. Guess what quartz is. Mineral. A part of Earth like Stone, trees, soils, and more. This problem it itself because this imply quartz itself is Earth elemental magic by default so how does the absorbing magic property work? Even then you got another problem where Earth around the quartz are also made up of magic therefore quartz would absorb magic by default even before Villager discover them, so realistically all quartz would blow up before they even mine out or Llevigar even exist because quartz would not be viable building material in any form(even the guy that study it made his lab out of it, that like building your gun workshop out of gunpowder).

So to avoid the headache, with some magic system and tweak the lore a bit(will be mention later). Now there are 2 kind of quartz, raw and pure quartz which is use for building material like Llevigar and processed quartz, the quartz that basically what quartz is in wynncraft currently. I also add additional rule about how quartz become destabilize, how quartz absorb magic, and other details.



Elemental powder while might be seen as gameplay mechanic, in my opinion can be use as some sort of interesting world building that showcase villagers(Gavelian) technology.



With all study done, I decide to use all quartz study I done and just try to give identity to my favorite province. I feel like Wynn province for a medieval world that ravage by corruption that essentially zombie apocalypses, has really generic feel to its military especially Detlas? So I just use from what I have with quartz and give them magical flamethrower, magic grenade, and explosive javelin.
