    Yelloooo!

I am thinking about getting a profession in Wynncraft. Is this a good idea and if so how would I get one?

    thanks!

That's not how professions work in Wynncraft. Professions in Wynn are separate levels that you can increase by gathering resources and crafting items. Increasing the level of a gathering profession allows you to use higher tiered tools and gather higher leveled materials of that type (mining, fishing, farming, woodcutting). Increasing the level of a crafting profession allows you to craft more powerful gear and use more powerful ingredients of that type.
Professions are extremely grindy, and as such are highly discouraged during one's first playthrough.
Professions provide no advantage in normal gameplay and combat, except for unlocking a couple quests, and unlocking a tome slot (you'll learn about and unlock tomes in a later quest).

As said above, its advised you play without too much of a focus on professions for your first playthrough. While they can be a good source of money or equipment, theyre especially tedious and can get in the way of progression
