SPOILER Potions In Loot Chests!

So after whatever happend this afternoon or so, there is potions in loot chests!

There is possibilities of mana potions appearing, also skill point potions, and even Potion of Wisdom or something

Looks pretty decent doesn't it?

But the problem is, this kinda nerfed loot chests in a way.

So I'm not jumjum nor his coffee so Idk how loot chest generation works, but I'm a math major and how it should work is that there's an item pool to randomly pick from, before then including only emeralds and gears, then with powders, and now with potions.

So adding potions into item pools should for a tiny bit lower the chance you find legendaries or mythics.

And who need potions anyway *RLR-Healed myself*.

But wisdom potions seems goooooood boi

 

Well maybe it's because not everyone is a mage

 

potion of wisdom? nooooo my stack of zhight money become useless :(

 

imo in the end-game when loot chests is mostly used for legendaries and mythics hunting, potions are a bit useless compared to other things...
but still I guess we just have to *deal with it*

 

@UniversalJustice they've devalued Zhight Money by making Wisdom Potions appear in chests! Cruel.

I remember when wisdom pots were worth a few LE... sad times.

 

This is a bad idea imo....
Heal pots only cost 62 emeralds at level 100
And Def pots at 10 eb
Now, is that amount hard for a level 100 to make? No.
this will just lower the effect of the potion money sink.....
And In the worst case scenario people will start selling potions like powders.....

 

Actually mobs also now drop pots too :D

For once there isn't much complain in a nerf in the game and out of all the things that can revert they choose to reverted THAT feature?!

For fuck's sake, I thought this was gone for good...
Why did Salted have to put this back? Potions are factually worthless at this point, having them at respective merchants is good enough already.
And, if that wasn't enough, if it does lower the chance of finding Legendaries and Mythics, the economy is going to get even worse now.

Additional potions in loot chests will have a very small impact on the loot you actually get. For tier 1-2 chests, you only get health potions, and they're not the most common; from what I've seen, every other chest. The other potions only appear in T3-4s, and again from my testing, these seem to have been buffed so they carry more loot total. Plus, wouldn't lowing the number of legendaries and mythics help the economy?

 

Well, if that is the case with the loot chests, then it's great.
But for the number of Legendaries and Mythics, I would disagree. I wouldn't really mind if the Legendaries' chances stayed the same or became just a bit lower, since I am fine with their state, but as for items in general, the less of them there is, the higher their prices are. The demand for Mythics probably wouldn't change, and perhaps even increase if there are less of them, all the while the supply would be lower, allowing people who sell Mythics to do so for a higher price, knowing there is almost next to no competition. And, knowing how Mythics cost, this is probably a bad idea to increase it even further.
IMO they're just a flawed concept.

 

Most likely this will have absolutely no impact on mythic chances (as they're so rare anyway)
Legendaries are fine for right now. Most go for 5-10 LE, and decreasing the chance might keep them that way.

 

I'm honestly kind of annoyed that mobs drop potions. I remember when those things cluttered up your inventory. I'm fine with potions in loot chests but 3 in one chest seems a bit too common, at most you should be getting 4-5 in a decent loot run.
