hey i used medeis

-you can carry around Executioner Helmet as a "secondary helmet" for lifesteal.
-with high enough sp items you can use sitis as a secondary (plus since it has heph greaves no one can complain about -hp regen).

i chose to build fire over thunder for quite a few reasons:
-my damage actually went up after i started to build fire because sizzling shawl, clockwork ring, and dupliblaze are all great.
-courage > chain, flat out damage boost helps you a lot and as far as i know, the initial courage mini-quake procs life/mana steal anyway
-i don't like doing random amounts of damage (like fatal), but that's just personal preference.

cons:
68int is subpar
-2/4 mana regen, not a big deal imo. i've played with worse
