I've had a few instances where I know for a fact that a player isn't online, but the stats page on the forum, as well as /find indicates they're online, but /msg will say "the player [name] does not exist".

As well, I've had it happen where I know a player is online, and even messaging me at that time, but when I try to respond with /r or /msg it says they're offline. As well, both /find and the stats page on the forum say they're offline too. I just had one instance of this, where I could only /msg them when they joined the same world I was in.

Anyone else have weird instance of players seeming to be offline or online when the reverse is actually true?

And anyone know what might cause these discrepancies between what the server registers and what is actually real?

I believe this happens when the player you are messaging is in the class screen, but I could be completely wrong.

I don't think it's possible in my case since they were in the middle of messaging me, and I was unable to respond since they were "offline"

idk then, I've gotten the same error when messaging friends who are switching classes, but it easily could be a different reason and it was just a coincidence

I've had this happen quite a bit. A few times on normal servers, and even once on the beta server

It wasn't in my case: over a period of 2 minutes I was constantly using /msg, /r, and /find and all saying they're not online, meanwhile they've asked me a question twice in that same time period, using /msg.

I wouldn't be asking this question on the forums if it was something as simple as that.

I think over different wynncraft servers the names need to be exactly written (case-sensitive) to work... not sure though

I tried that too, and made sure it was case-sensitive. I've had this happen a few times and know it's an anomaly with what the server registers and what is actually happening on the server (even the forum stats page shows them as offline). I'm thinking maybe it has something to do with people using different versions of minecraft and/or even different clients (e.g. Wynncraft Enhanced), but I've got no real idea what could be causing it.
