Pet Questions

if i get a squid pet , will i be able to travel faster in water?
also if i get a wither or blaze or something that can "float" and i jump with it from a bbuilding will i take fall damage?
and if i get a fast pet will it run fast while i ride it?

 

Unfortunately, pets do nothing due to Mojang changing Minecraft's EULA and Wynn wanting to abide by it.

 

Pets unfortunately all move at the same speed as a level one horse. I do think dropping from a building while riding one (at least at the moment) will prevent fall damage, but I'm not 100% sure. This doesn't apply to floating pets, but rather every pet, as none of them take fall damage. I too would love to have the ability to ride water based pets in water, but unfortunately with the current pet system, that's just not how it works. I wish it was :(
