SPOILER Overlooked Lore

While I was completing the "From the Bottom" quest I noticed some dialogue which helps give us some minor insight on the ancient lore of Wynn.

During the quest you come across an NPC named Yobon who before you need to talk to him says this:

This states that he is not human and has the ability to claim souls and appear in many forms similar to a god

When you give him the "Amulet of the First of the Fallen", he says this:

This shows that Yobon is most likely the "First of the Fallen" (A possible god) and that he owns the horn of another god. It will be interesting to see if the release of Corkus include Ancient Rodoroc quests that tell us about the Dwarfen-Dogun War and the gods who participated within. In the mythic spear, Apocalypse, the lore states: "Forged from the tooth of the fallen one, this spear was bargained to a human for his soul, not knowing that the weapon itself would claim all life."
This lore also states that a human bargained the spear for his soul just like the kind of deals Yobon makes.

So in conclusion an NPC we trade with in a level 80 quest is most likely a god and if you use the spear Apocalypse your probably using the tooth of Yobon.

 

The strange bit is that the Amulet is of the "First of the Fallen" while Apocalypse is forged from the tooth of "the fallen one."

This could very easily mean they're unrelated, or more loosely related. Possibly all the "gods" are known as "The Fallen" for some as-of-yet unknown reason, and "The Fallen One" relates to an entirely different being.

 

True, however the fact that it was bargained to a human for his soul which is the exact types of offer Yobon makes, its either very coincidental or correlated to each other

 

Well, "deal with the devil" type scenarios are pretty common in fantasy

 

Yobon also says that "I cannot hold it for much longer anyway, as it is of holy origin."
This implies that Yobon has some sort of aversion to things holy or cannot hold it for long because he is unholy.
Of course, there could be other explanations, like Entia wants his horn back.
We know that Yobon isn't bargaining the horn for something, as he says "he didn't have anything of worth to me, not even his soul."

 

I'm pretty sure From The Bottom is a standalone quest and has nothing to do with the lore. Sorry

 

What a coincidental title of yours.

 

But its a quest, made by the official Wynncraft content team. The quest may not be part of a story-line but still holds lore just like all the quests in game

 

TIL WynnEx, Aldorei's Secret and Iron Heart are the only quests that actually link to the lore. Thanks, spring.

 

Well it's that along with things such as 'Crop Failure' which give flavour to the regions, specifically found in Gavel quests.

 

What about Taproot and the whole light realm stuff, along with the gerts quests

 

I forget those, ty :P

In my opinion From The Bottom gives the flavour of chaos in the Thanos bazaar. I personally think all quests are canon no matter what.
