Are you at endgame but you are broke? Do you want to fight greg but deal 0 damage and can't afford a better build? Allow me to introduce to you: The Outer Void.

This is a 0 investment endgame money-making method that is also just pretty chill and fun. I usually get around 30 le and hour using the outer void, so with a bit of outer void you should be able to afford a solid build to get you started on other types of endgame content like lootruns and raids.

When I started getting into the outer void I found information on even just how to get started with it was difficult to find, so I am writing up this guide to be a one-stop shop for information on it.

Getting Started with the Outer Void
First you will need to have completed the quest "One Thousand Meters Under" to unlock the void. Once you have this completed head to Ahmsord and go to the sky crane right by the center of Ahmsord at [1030, -4555]. Upon getting into the void from the skycrane, you want to head south (as there is a sign pointing you towards ??? in that direction). You will head south over a couple of islands until you reach the house at [13975, -3800], going into this house there is a fella sleeping who the game tells you to come back later to talk to.

Continue south down the path until you reach the portal at [13920, -3650], enter this portal and you will be brought to the Outer Void. See the next section for details about navigating the Outer Void. So you jump around, collect some junk and leave the outer void. At this point you go back to the house and talk with the fella there, the Scavenger, who is now awake. You can sell him the junk which you find in the outer void for emeralds, and a good amount at that.

How to Navigate the Outer Void
In the outer void your spells and abilities are locked but you can hold crouch to charge up and release it to jump in a direction, which takes you quite far given the funky gravity of the area. In the Outer Void you jump around between the floating islands and pick up the various items lying on them. Falling into the void will just teleport you back to the portal that you entered through, so it is not the end of the world.

There are some pieces of equipment called Utilities (purely for the outer void) you can make using the crafting bench that is in the house with the scavenger (note that this does not require any of the wynncraft profession levels). As you discover more different types of scrap you will unlock different recipes in the crafting bench for things you can make using them. Additionally with the Transport Repair Kit you can fix the teleporter outside the Scavenger's house, allowing you to get to and from the Ahmsord sky crane easier

Thus the basic loop is collect scrap in the void, go to the scavenger sell it except maybe a couple pieces to craft new better traversal equipment with.

    Strategy/Tips and Tricks
MOST IMPORTANT press f3+B to turn on hitboxes to see the items easier, the Outer void is way more difficult and less profitable without this.

For the utilities I recommend crafting the climbing gloves, transport repair kit, chainshot/upgraded chainshot and eventually the Voidquartz Propulsor, all just whenever you are able to craft each to add it to your arsenal.
    • The chainshot is very nice to have while you are trying to collect the items to make the propulsor (which requires 3 different pieces of fabled junk, so it takes a while), however the propulsor totally performs it.
    • Scavenger's Brew is not really worth making, primarily due to the inventory space it takes up and the extra time spent crafting it when turning on hitboxes is about 85% as good and totally free
Item spawns are random outside of rarer items being less frequent as best I can tell, so it doesn't really matter where you are in the Outer Void although if you spend too much time in one area items will stop spawning there as much, in which case just start moving across the arena.

Some good data was collected on item spawn rates, profitability, etc. which I'm not allowed to link yet, but the most important piece of information I'd take away from the data I've seen is that close to half of your profits will be purely from rare items, due to their higher value and decent spawn rate.

Certain items (like the hobby horse) will not show a number to indicate the number of items stacked, there are actually multiple items stacked, it just doesn't show the number for some reason, likely due to some internal programming.

    My run strategy:
    1. Empty inventory except for a weapon to traverse outside the void with, the climbing gloves and the propulsor
    2. Jump around the outer void for a couple minutes collecting everything, primarily using the propulsor since it is quicker
    3. Once my inventory first gets full of items, I take the unique item I have the least of and drop it into the void
    4. Continue scavenging, as I get new rare/legendary/fabled items I again throw out the unique items with the lowest quantity, immediately getting rid of any more of that item that I pick up
    5. Once my inventory is full but each unique rarity item has at least 6-7 items stacked (about the value of 1 rare item) I leave the Outer Void
    6. Sell all my scrap to the scavenger (since I already have all the utilities I want)
    7. Go back to the Outer Void
    8. Repeat

Let me know if you have any questions or suggestions for other pieces of info!

I used to do this a lot when it came out, but I did it recently and it felt lie they massively nerfed the rates? Maybe I was just more entertained back then but I doubt Im EVER getting the tangible intangibility I need

Honestly one of the most underrated features/ minigames. I definitely feel like the drop rates are a bit low now though. Last time I did it, I spent several hours looking for a single golem capacitor, and never got one.
