Old Meteor

When checking to see if anything changed with the old location of the ??? Quest, I tried using the old combination of meteor shards to get in. However I was greeted with the message

">ERROR: Access denied!"
">At least you tried..."

It would not surprise me if something is different inside. We should probably try to figure out how to get back in.

 

People didn't move to the Update Room as expected; we should look for someone that was inside the room before the update.

 

Actually, just found a problem...

I was circling the meteor when suddenly I got to close and it said this

">ERROR Insufficient permissions. Access denied!"

Then it teleported me back... If anyone was inside, they got TPed out..

 

I looked through it quickly and nothing stood out. The update room is kinda out of universe, I don't think they'd go that meta.

 

As someone who had a class in the room, I can confirm that you get warped out.
I was able to catch a brief glimpse though, and it seems that the room is still there.

 

I can confirm that you do not automatically get warped out, you may have walked into the exit.

 

Weird. I believe I was standing near the center of the room (the one with Mehme) then got the following message:

 

Ohh you meant the meteor room not the update room. Yeah no it looks like the meteor is apart of the new quest (or has just been blocked off to throw us a red herring) and teleports people out.

Anyone know if you can get in via the three meteor shards?

I'm blind. Sorry. Also can you even get all three now? It seems like the Forgery removed one of the shard spawns.

My lv 1 class inside the mehme room got teleported out with a message

 

Yes you can get the Cinfras Shard, You basically need to swim down and u will find it, under the forgery.

 

The main ??? post says that the new quest is not connected to the old one. While thinking the lore is connected isn't too far of a cry, I doubt the locations are connected. Knowing any codes from the old ??? could be good, but trying to get inside seems unnecessary.

 

Again tho, Why go through trouble of blocking it off? Telling us "At least you tried.." Shows they are trying to keep us out and guessing. The quests may not be connected, but it would not surprise me if a random item shows up while looking elsewhere that leads us back inside for the next step. It's just a theory though.

Also.. It's not like we haven't been lied to before.. I would just never forget the opportunity that something is still there.

Well, the hint Lotem gave us saying "I lied" could mean he lied about something in the stickies thread's original post - such as the old-???-isn't-connected-to-the-new-??? part. Or he could have lied about something entirely different, or he could have lied about giving us a hint like so many people initially thought.

 

People would LOVE to throw pures into places where they wouldn't get them back
