Ocean Mini Dungeon Puzzle

I'm stuck at the puzzle part, for some reason water doesnt seem to flow like normal, is there some kind of a a trick to getting it to open?

Please read this thread, however, please do not post it, as it is too old. The answer to your question, and an explanation, is in it. You might get the puzzle to work by switching servers, sometimes that works, sometimes not. Good luck, and have fun.
