As for Dern, here is my theory.
There are three reasons I think that Dern will be south of Wynn

One: Corruption occurs between dark and light (Wynn is between Gavel and Dern)
Two: The Dernel Jungle. The Dern-el Jungle. It borders right where there would presumably be a gate to Dern
Three: The abandoned mines. I like @SPYROHAWK idea that gateway island leads to dern. Where do you come out? The Abandoned Mines! Which also borders the south of Wynn.

No need to be so mad friend, after all, would you believe me if i told you I live on a giant piece of toast in the sky? If not, good, if yes, well, I'm afraid I can't help ya there, after all, this is the internet, satirical and sarcastic humor is created millions of time in one day, surely you'd be able to tell the difference and just roll along with it, right?

Even though the name Dernel has 0 connection to Dern (it's an anagram of Needlr), I do sense a connection. It's a very long series of connections, don't want to get into it right now.

 

Fun fact, number 2 is not true. It has been confirmed that Dernel is an anagram of Nedler or something like that and has nothing to do with Dern. However other things about the jungle connect to Dern.

I believe Dern is in an backwards L shape (for various reasons). Going on the south side of Wynn next to the abandoned mines and all the way from the jungle to the mess and then wrapping around the east side up past the desert to at least the ocean.

I personally disagree with this map and may be making my own soon (depending on the poll results on my last thread)

But I can tell you one thing 99% wrong here (people don't like it when I say 100%) and one thing that I can not prove to be wrong, but I believe to be wrong.

Firstly Fruma. If you have done ALL of the gavel quests, it is quite clear that there is a gate to Fruma in gavel, meaning Fruma has to go higher up than you have predicted. This is am like 99% sure about.

Secondly (as @Yuno F Gasai will gladly point out) mods have stated that Dern is behind the silverfish dungeon. Due to this (and other reasons) I believe Dern wraps around the east side and AT LEAST touched the ocean. This one is just my opinion.

Anyway, I think Fruma has some conflicting evidence. On the map where you spawn in Fruma (right next to Wynn), you are indeed right behind Ragni. But, now that I think about it, there is that gate. So really i'm not sure here on Fruma's location.

It would be funny to have a "complete" 4 provinces that is rectangular and suddenly NOPE there's another province going all around it.
