I joined Wynncraft not to long ago, and I am a level 47 Assassin. I'm having fun, but don't really know what i'm doing when it comes to progression. To keep progressing, should I just go down the content book and do random quests and caves, or is there a specific method. (I also don't really understand any of the other skills like crafting and such) Sorry if this seems dumb, but it seems like every time I try to find a progression guide, they just say how to level up fast.

    Good questions!

As for progression, it is level based, so I would recommend doing all or most of the quests especially if it’s your first time, and between quests, loot caves or do dungeons to get better gear, the content book is your friend.

The crafting and gathering skills (professions) are completely optional and I wouldn’t recommend doing them as they are super grindy unless that’s your type of thing.

in short, professions let you craft custom items using materials and ingredients if you level them up, but the items have durability

thats totally not your fault. the wynn community has a big problem of min-maxing imo, with leveling being my biggest gripe. for all the great content in the game, you can skip it all and hit max level in maybe a dedicated day or two by purely farming grind spots

having first started way before grind spots (shoutout freezing heights/demon cave), i first got to max level by doing quests, only ever having to stop to grind if i ran out of quests and needed the xp to clear to the next level. honestly, even though i think the game is way more interesting now, with hella content, still think i had the most fun then. so, while fun is subjective, i'm a big advocate of doing quests/content to level/progress.
