New Minecraft Launcher?

I just got a prompt to install the new minecraft launcher. Can I hear some thoughts from people who did upgrade before I switch?

 

There are only tiny differences (if even any) in the launcher itself, it looks and feels just like the old one.
The only big thing is that you can launch MC for Windows 10 from the same launcher now.

Other than that, they mostly did the new launcher to integrate to Microsoft and XBOX's Game Pass system, so a Microsoft account is neccessary, as well as the XBOX app on your PC to keep the launcher updated... In my opinion there was no real need for that launcher and the XBOX integration, but it doesn't hurt either.

One more thing: If you are using Wynntils and use it's feature of changing the MC app logo to a Wynncraft logo - that is not working with the new launcher (yet).

 

Updating to the new launcher will keep all worlds and resource packs and other stuff like that, but will erase all the version profiles saved to the old launcher

bedrock sucks tho
java deserves its OWN launcher
frick bedrock.

 

I've heard of bedrock being referred to as "bugrock" because theres a ton of weird things going on with it and redstone. It also sucks that you have to PAY to get adventure maps, mods and skins. I guesss theres a reason why java is like 5x the initial cost of bedrock.

I have some Obsidian USB and USB2 boards, as well as a new Obsidian 3 board. Can I not have both versions of the launcher installed if I install to different directories? so that I can work with all of my sabers?
