Need Help With A Journey Beyond, Roots Of Corruption Part

So I enter the cave with the demonic dragons, and, trying not to die, find Aledar before a drop into lava. He tells me "I don't think we can spell our way across, <playername>! We need something like... Wings!", and I'm just like... wut. And then die because the dragons deal a great amount of damage.

So what the heck do I do? At first I thought the wings are a drop of the dragons', but no dice. The Wiki gives absolutely NO indication as to what to do next.

 

Killing 10 dragons will give you wings, as the text display says when you kill them

 

I noticed no such text display. But thanks.
